ive my my Blackvue DR900X Dual Channel (front and rear) for almost 3 years now its great, has a great picture, plus its small and doesn't stick out much hindering your view, but they are pricey.
Bought a blackvue dual front & back camera with parking mode. Watched YouTube videos of day and night performance and readability of license plates.

I have a BlackVue front/rear that I’ve been very happy with. Easy to install, right into the fuse panel.
The fuse kit for the dashcam offers great options for power management and keeps wiring out of sight.
For fleet we often do blackvue DR-series with a tamperproof case. That way, it can not be unplugged.
The Blackvue 970x and the A229 Pro are probably the two best dashcams out on the market right now.

The BlackVue 900X is great for parking mode recording and has a good safety feature that turns off when voltage is low.
I have a Blackvue in mine. Stick with a name brand camera. Viofo is probably the best budget option out there.
I have had instances where the Tesla did not record for what ever reason, so was good to have the backup.

Blackvue DR770x is fairly small and is a decent starting point.

I’ve got a BlackVue 750X Plus, wouldn’t recommend. Video quality is pretty average.
I hated my Blackvue - it cost an insane amount of money and the interface sucked.
I don’t recommend it to anyone now.
