If you want the best possible front view and rear view, a combination of a Viofo A229Pro (4k) paired with a RTC300 Tele-camera (2k) and RC300 rear camera (2k) is as good as it gets as of now.
Viofo has been perfect for me. Really good picture quality, and when I actually got rear-ended I was able to easily connect to the dash cam from my phone and download the video.
I’m using a VIOFO A329 and I don’t think there’s another dashcam that comes close to it in terms of footage quality if that’s your main concern
I went with Viofo 129 Pro, so it has no screen and minimal obstruction. I just use the app when I want to view live or recorded content.

I've had viofi I think the a129 top model. Was like 350ish. It's good. I mean I haven't had to use it for an accidental purpose yet. Touch wood right. Owned for about 12 months roughly. And the app is easy enough. Quality is good.
we have 2 A119, and they are great. best feature IMO is the 5ghz wireless connection when you want to review the video on your phone, I have had so much trouble with other dashcams using 2.4ghz
I have the VIOFO A119 V3 front dashcam and it's been great at only $150, recommended them to my family members and the footage has proved us to be not at fault in an insurance claim.
Viofo A129 duo version - because of the slanted design you put it behind the rear view mirror and you can't even see that there is a dashcam in the car.
IMO Viofo are excellent for the price. Sony Starvis 2 sensor, parking mode, wifi and app.... actually these are the only functions I really use.
I use a Viofo 229 front and rear. Hard wired for parking and routed to the back. Very good visibility at night and day with polarizing lense.
I can vouch for the Viofo cameras, also Project Farm did a dash cam shootout and put Viofo at the top so yeah they're pretty good.
The A129 is about $250 for a dual channel unit. Less for a single channel. They stand up fairly well in the Australian heat.
My 8-year-old Viofo A129 is still working well, has good definition, and I like its mounting position. Good value for money.

I've had really good success with Viofo, bought two over the years during Black Friday off of Amazon for a good value.
The A119v3 is a basic model with good picture quality. The polarised filter helps greatly with glare and reflections.
I bought a Viofo A129 Plus Duo from Amazon for mine and my wife's car, 2k 60FPS front and 1080p 30FPS back cam.
Viafo uses super capacitors instead of a traditional battery, it’s why they last a bit better in our climate.

My A119 Mini 2 transfers video to my iPhone pretty quickly. It has GPS coordinates and speed.

I've had my Viofo A129 Duo for 5 years now with zero issues and it's still working.
Use blackboxmycar. Was using blackvue but their cost went up and now I use Viofo.
I've got 2 viofo and 1 blackvue and both have been fine in similar weather.
If you just want something basic and inexpensive, look into the Viofo VS1.
