I just picked up a wolfbox (G850), which is a dashcam built into a rearview mirror.
I installed one of the Wolfbox cameras last year.
It's worked out well with just some minor kinks.
I love the fact it records both front and back.
Saves to an SD but easily syncs to the phone.

It acts as a mirror and a dash camera.
It only turns on if you bump the car.
reasonably easy to install.
Not bad for the price tbh
